TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions set out the rules for the registration and purchase of tickets for TEDxBucharest or any other related TEDxBucharest events and the terms and conditions for the attendance at the above mentioned events.

TEDxBucharest reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted on this website. Applicable from May 25, 2018.

 

DEFINITIONS

Agreement: means the agreement between you and Asociatia INCUB (organizer of TEDxBucharest event series) regarding the purchasing of a ticket and/or the registration for TEDxBucharest, including these Terms and Conditions.

Ticket: the document that serves as an admission ticket for TEDxBucharest event, including electronic tickets.

Website: the tedxbucharest.ro website

Asociatia INCUB: is the official organizer of the TEDxBucharest event series, Romanian registered NGO, headquartered in Ploiesti, str. Marasesti, nr. 116, Prahova

You: means every legal entity or natural person that enters into an agreement with Asociatia INCUB by purchasing a Ticket and/or registration for an Event.

 

DECLARATION OF CONSENT

I hereby give my consent for Asociatia INCUB to collect, process and use my personal data for the purposes of processing the purchase of my ticket and for any other use to which I have consented, including the importation of contact information for which I have provided my explicit prior consent.

 

PURCHASING TICKETS

By clicking the button “Order Confirmation” and introduce option for Payment method, you will complete the Ticket Purchasing Process on the Website. Therefore, you conclude an agreement with Asociatia INCUB for the purchase of a Ticket. Therefore, it is necessary that You have filled in all necessary fields on the order form and have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

You hereby give your consent for the mandatory and voluntary data collected from you in the course of purchasing and or registering for tickets sold by Asociatia INCUB, via its agreed ticketing partner, OveIt or any other ticketing platform, used for this purpose solely.

You further give your permission for your user account details to be stored. You acknowledge that You may provide Asociatia INCUB a reasonable timeframe to remove your details at any time that you no longer wish them to be stored. You acknowledge and accept that your data will be used for commercial purposes in accordance with this Data Protection Policy and Privacy Notice and will be retained and stored for this purpose. Should you wish your data to be removed you must request Asociatia INCUB to do so in writing. Requests will be processed within a 30-day period.

TICKETS

You cannot resell a ticket. This includes all types of tickets or VIP invitations that may grant access to the event, in part or in full. Doing so will void the ticket and the ticket holder will not gain entry into the event.

All tickets must be assigned to an attendee, and all attendee details must be 100% complete within 30 days of receipt of your ticket, but no later than 5 days prior to the event dates. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes name, job title, company name e-mail address and phone number. Ticket reassignment after this date is prohibited.

If you have secured a complimentary ticket but have already bought a ticket, you are not eligible for a refund.

 

DELIVERY POLICY

Once a successful purchase transaction has been completed, tickets are delivered in electronic soft-copy via email to the email address nominated by the purchaser. The ticket acts as a receipt for the transaction and can be used to redeem entry at the event listed on the ticket.

You must pay the registration fee prior to the start of the Event at the venue. Asociatia INCUB can ask for on the spot online payment in case no fees are received yet. When you register a Ticket and choose the ‘order by bank transfer’ option, you’ll be obliged to pay the invoice within five (5) days of the invoice date, but no later than five (5) days prior to the Event.

 

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

All purchases of tickets for conferences and events are non-refundable in their entirety after the 30 day cooling off period. Any Refund Processed is subject to the corresponding transaction fee (according to bank official fees/ taxes/charges). Your ticket remains the property of Asociatia INCUB and is a personal revocable license, which may be withdrawn, and admission refused at any time upon a refund of the printed registration price.

The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be resold under any circumstances, including but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition, unless such mechanism has been approved by Asociatia INCUB, or is part of an agreed and signed partnership with Asociatia INCUB. Where there has been any resale or attempted resale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.

Asociatia INCUB will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment at events and conferences is prohibited. You consent to film and sound recording as attendees at any event or conference.

You bare the risk of loss, theft, misappropriation or damage of the Ticket after Asociatia INCUB, has sent the confirmation e-mail with the Ticket. You are advised to save the confirmation e-mail carefully and if You have not received the confirmation e-mail within 24 (twenty-four) hours to contact Asociatia INCUB, team, via E-mail: events@tedxbucharest.ro.

Asociatia INCUB will not be liable for the granting of any visas that are required to attend any event or conference. Invitations to serve this purpose may be issued upon request (email events@tedxbucharest.ro) but shall not feature any official seal/ stamp/ affidavit from the corresponding authorities.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES

Asociatia INCUB will not share your address, e-mail address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission. You hereby give your consent for Asociatia INCUB to store the following types of data as a profile for internal purposes:

  1. Mandatory and voluntary data collected when purchasing tickets.
  2. Mandatory and voluntary data collected when providing opt-in consent.
  3. Voluntary disclosures when participating in online surveys.
  4. Data collected from any connected social media for which you have provided my explicit prior consent.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION

When personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number) is provided through the TEDxBucharest website or directly to us by e-mail you give consent to Asociatia INCUB for:

  1. Processing and managing your personal data to perform all necessary actions to give effect to your request or instructions
  2. Retaining a record of all relevant communications (e.g. email) to process your request or instructions

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION

When personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number) is provided through the TEDxBucharest website or directly to us by e-mail you give consent to Asociatia INCUB for:

  1. Processing and managing your personal data to perform all necessary actions to give effect to your request or instructions
  2. Retaining a record of all relevant communications (e.g. email) to process your request or instructions

Asociatia INCUB may also collect the following information about you:

  1. Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site.
  2. Name and physical shipping, contact and payment addresses.
  3. Email address and telephone numbers
  4. Social Media profiles, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin

 

If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.

Information we receive from credit reference and fraud detection agencies or other third parties we may use to verify your information. We may ask you to complete surveys for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

 

RIGHT OF ACCESS

You have a right to be given a copy of any of your personal data held by Asociatia INCUB in accordance with section 4 of the Data Protection Acts subject to certain exceptions. RIGHT OF RECTIFICATION OR ERASURE

If Asociatia INCUB holds incorrect information about you which was originally submitted by you through the TEDxBucharest website, you have the right to have the data amended. Further, you have the right to have any information you have sent to us via this website erased.

To request your right to rectification and/or erasure please send your request to events@tedxbucharest.ro or, in writing, addressed to: TEDxBucharest Licensee & Asociatia INCUB President, Andrei Dinu – Str. Mararesti, nr. 116, Ploiesti, Prahova

Requests should include:

  1. Your name and address.
  2. A description of the specific personal data you wish rectified/ erased.

 

SECURITY

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, Asociatia INCUB cannot guarantee its absolute security and cannot accept any liability where the security of your Personal Information is compromised.

 

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Asociatia INCUB reserves the right to modify this Data Protection Policy and Declaration of Consent at any time. Any changes will be posted on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of the changes.

 

COMPLAINTS

Complaints can be made to events@tedxbucharest.ro. We will endeavour to resolve any customer complaints where reasonable.

 

EVENT CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT & SUBSTITUTION POLICY

Asociatia INCUB is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of an event. Asociatia INCUB shall assume no liability whatsoever in the circumstances that an event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of an event impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing of the agenda, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, Asociatia INCUB reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.

 

INDEMNITY

You agree to be fully responsible for (and fully indemnify us against) all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, suffered by us and arising out of any breach of the terms by you or any other liabilities incurred by us arising out of your use of the website, or use by any other person accessing the website using your pc or internet access account.

 

GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

The Agreement between You and Asociatia INCUB, these Terms and Conditions, the Data Protection Declaration and Privacy Notice are exclusively governed by the Romanian law.

Any dispute arising from the Agreement, these Terms and Conditions or the Data Protection Declaration and Privacy Notice will be submitted to the competent Romanian Courts.
